At the very end of of 1986 I realized that my life was going by and that I had nothing tangible to see for it all.

I was then, as I am now, obsessed with the ageing process and decided to record and document my life by taking a Polaroid photograph of myself once a week.

Polaroid no longer produces film. I tried briefly with Impossible film which truly lives up to its name. I am now using Fuji.

If I am alone I take the picture myself, otherwise I ask whoever happens to be around in my life to a take it

The photographs are all dated and each have written on them a small anecdote as well as the author of the photograph. A huge percentage are self portraits. The rest have been taken by a mix of people that have that have come in and out of my life.

In this blog I go back and forth in time, seeing what was going on on the same date in years gone by. There are a few photos where the dates don’t coincide as they were leap years and I got confused. Occasionally I will put in a special edition which may have a different date altogether.

Estaba en Nueva York en los finales del año 1986, cuando me dí cuenta que mi vida estaba pasando y no tenia nada fisico y tangible que ver de todo aquello. Estaba entonces obsesionada con el proceso de envejecer y decidí tomarme una foto en Polaroid cada semana para documentar mi vida.

Hace poco Polaroid dejó de producir su película. Intenté usar la marca Impossible, fuè realmente impossible. Ahora estoy usando Fuji.

Si estoy sola hago la foto yo, si no pido a quien este en mi vida para hacerla .Todas tienen escritos encima la fecha, autor y una anéctoda. La mayoria son autorretratos, las demás estan tomadas por una gran varidad de gente que han entrado y a salido de mi vida.

En este blog pongo la foto más reciente , y luego una de la misma fecha de cualquier otro año. Hay unas fotos donde no se coinciden las fechas, pasó en los años bisiesto porque me confundí. Ocasionalmente tomo algunas fotos fuera de fecha por un momento especial.
